The best chicken breast I've ever eaten, perfectly spiced, perfectly cooked. The black chickpeas and sunflower seed "tahini" hummus was so creamy and nutty and smooth. Great experience overall, totally recommended.

Second time at Berenjak and food never disappoints. Loved the black hummus, lamb tenderloin, poussin and flatbread with sesame seeds. Service from the waiters was great but the front of house member who admitted us was rude and nearly didn’t give us our table. Overall would come again.

The place is small but nice atmosphere and good service. The food was average. I have been to Iranian restaurants and enjoyed the food more. The black hummus- I personally didn’t not like .

After recommendations from all directions, my partner and I visited Berenjak Borough for a quiet Thursday night date. We ordered their set menu and everything was even better than expected. The humus and chicken salad are a must try. The breads were baked to perfection and the kebabs were so juicy and tender. The food really elevated our love for Persian cuisine. The staff was extremely friendly, kind and considerate. From helping with the order to checking on us, hats off to the amazing customer service they had to offer. I’d highly recommend this establishment to anyone who is looking to have a good time with some truly great food. We’re definitely coming back very soon.

Amazing food and service - the Armenian red wine was amazing and all the food was too. The bar seating isn’t super comfortable though, only criticism. Otherwise, perfection!

We managed to get seats at the counter, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. There are 2 types of menus to choose from: a la carte and set menu. We chose the set menu as the a la carte didn’t have the kebabs. I have to admit that everything we ate was delicious but for me the starters stole the show. The black chickpea hummus and the mast o khiar were the best dip combo I’ve had in a long time with their very crispy sangak bread or the fluffy barbari bread. For anyone who’s planning to book, I recommend counter seats and these two starters. You get to watch each dish get prepared in front of you and served to you by the chefs. Lastly, don’t sleep on their seasonal iced tea - it was the perfect sweet complement to the savoury dishes.

Must try! First time trying Borough branch, we usually go to the SoHo one. Food was delicious - full of flavour, succulent meats and tasty dips and fresh breads. We had the lunch menu - good value for money compared to the a la carte menu and great for first timers as you can try a variety of dishes. Great service. We had counter seating - close to other people but this is the case with both restaurants. 🌟

I’ve been to the one in Soho and this one is definitely just as good. Amazing customer service. Food was unreal as per usual. We were even given cookies for free to take home with us - nice touch! My partner’s first time trying Berenjak and he loves it as much as I do.

Food is out of this world. Service here compared to the Soho branch isn't as friendly or attentive but still good.

The hummus and bread were delicious! I had the chicken breast which was good, however, some pieces were dry while some parts were juicy - wish all were the latter. In terms of the atmosphere, it was decorated beautifully, but, it was quite dark and the music at times was too loud.

Overrated - seek out the ample authentic restaurants in and around London. We turned up at opening time with no booking. The door host was far from impressed despite several free tables and offering us a seat immediately. The waitress who was stood next to our counter top seating did not greet us despite standing next to us, and instead, stared with a blank, uninviting face. A second waiter then came across to take our order and foisted on us the ‘fixed’ menu which also conveniently had the better options. However, it was a minimum of £40pp - which was a lot of food for two people (technically 1 1/2). As for the food, it was far from the reputation likes to report. With certainty, I can say this a non-Iranian attempt at making Iranian food. The Khashk Bademjoon was lacking balance. The Ghormeh Sabzi literally tasted like someone had tipped canned red kidney beans, chunks of meat and Ghormeh Sabzi herb mix into a pan and cooked it without the complexity that Iranian food offers. Spend your money elsewhere if you’re familiar with Persian food.
